I just love the month of November!! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. :)
Along with celebrating Thanksgiving at home, I like to make this time of year fun for my students.
This year my students made tye-dye turkeys!! My team leader, Jan, makes these turkeys every year and they are soooo cute!!
My turkey...
The kiddos had the best time creating their turkey "feathers"...
Every year my students and I discuss things we are thankful for. I then have my students write about what they are thankful for. This year I wanted a creative way to display it. I decided to have them each write what they are thankful for on a feather and we would make a class turkey. I then thought EVERY Second Grade class needed a giant turkey to fill with their thankful feathers. Our BESTT students (from the high school who come help each week) were soooo kind to cut out these massive turkeys for us.
I gotta say, they look pretty darn cute lined down the hallway... :)
Our class turkey...
My students are pretty amazing....I love that they have such huge hearts. They wrote about being thankful for Moms, Dads, Grandparents, pets, God, nature, learning at school, friends and having me as a teacher. :) Love them.

I have so many things to be thankful for...more than I could ever list. My heart is overflowing thinking about all of life's blessings which I am so thankful for.
*I am thankful for Charlie. Anyone who knows Charlie knows how much he loves his family and how hard he works. Even on days when he is so tired he can hardly keep his eyes open, he will stay up and watch one of my "dumb reality shows" just to spend time with me. :)
*I am thankful for Eli. He is such an amazing little guy! I am thankful for his kisses, hugs, personality, joy for life, giggles...I could go on and on. :)
*I am thankful for Lulu. I mean she is so cute and snuggly! She makes every day brighter with her stinky puppy kisses. :)
*I am thankful for my family. My Mom, Dad, brother, sis-n-law, nephew... I sometimes get sad they are all near each other and I am an hour and a half away, but then I remember fow fortunate I am to have family who is only an hour and a half away. I just love them so much and spending time with them. My crazy family. Love them. :)
*I am thankful for my in-law's. Mom Brenner, Bob, Dad Webb, Nancy....they all make my heart smile. We always have good times together. :)
*I am thankful for my sis-n-law Alison and David. Alison cracks me up and it is usually because of stories regarding she and David. :)
*I am thankful for my family far away. All of you have a big place in my heart an I love you very much. :)
*I am thankful for my friends. I have some pretty amazing girlfriends and can't imagine life without their stories, laughter and tears. :)
*I am thankful to have a job I love. I really do love my job. It is very rewarding and I feel fortunate to be able to have a job I can go to each day with a smile on my face. :)
*I am thankful for my students. They are the reason I am thankful for my job. They make me laugh and love doing what I do. I look forward to seeing their little faces each and every day. :)
*I am thankful for my health. :)
*I am thankful to be a part of Charlie's phone plan and to now be considered PHONE-PLAN-WORTHY!! ;)

Especially this little guy...
Thanksgiving with The Brenner's
On Friday we headed over to Charlie's Mom and Bob's to celebrate the holiday. Bob and Charlie spent the morning golfing. They had nice weather and apparently played a good game, so they enjoyed that.
Meanwhile, Mom Brenner and I spent the morning with the guy who isn't quite big enough to golf yet. ;)
Eli had so much fun! He played inside, he played on the deck outside, he played in the pond. He basically played until he passed out. Haha.
Outside with Eli...
I love this photo of Eli and Grammy...
Paw Paw found "Little Einstein's" (Eli loves this show) on TV for him to watch...
We had such a nice visit! Thank you Mom Brenner for the delicious meal!!

Then Eli has to put on his "Super Eli cape".... HAHA
Now we are ready to celebrate Super Pop Pop's birthday!!!
Happy Birthday to the most wonderful Daddy any girl could ever ask for :) I am especially thankful to have a Dad who supported me, loved me unconditionally (even when I didn't make the greatest of decisions) and taught me the importance of family. I love you Dad xoxo
