It was hard having to come back after having an entire 2 months wth Eli, but I truly do get excited the start of each school year. :)
I look forward to shopping at the Teacher Supply stores and deciding on new "must-haves" for my classroom.
For the first time in a few years, I did not have to move classrooms this year!!! That was a really nice change. So basically the setup of my classroom is the same, I just had the time to add some more fun things. :)
My classroom....
The district's theme this year is "Going for the Gold!" I think the Second Grade team did an awesome job representing the theme in our hallway! :)

After attempting to get back into the swing of things at work, a holiday was already upon us. :) We had a three day weekend for Labor Day, so headed home to Cypress to spend time with the family.
We had a great time relaxing and visiting. We even braved the Outlet Mall that weekend also!
Eli kept himself busy too. :)
He doodled....

This was the first time Eli said, "I draw you Mommy!"
I think it looks just like me :)....
He also napped with Pop Pop....
And cleaned Mommy's car with an old, dirty garage broom....

It was a fun time!
We also spent time at a get together hosted by my in-laws in The Woodlands. It was really nice! Sadly, I didn't get any pictures. :( We had a great time tho! Thanks Paw Paw for the golf cart ride! We had a blast! :)

The day after Labor Day, Eli began a new, exciting journey at a new school. :) He LOVES his new school! I can't say enough good things about his school and the wonderful teachers. Charlie and I feel truly blessed to have such nurturing, loving teachers caring for our Eli while we are at work.
Eli dressed and ready for the first day at his new school....

Another reason Eli is so excited about his new school is there are quite a few familiar faces from his old school there.
You may remember seeing photos of Eli and his best pal Eve as babies in older blogs. Well they have been together ever since then. Eve started this school the week before Eli.
Best buddies :).... (Oh and the precious red haired girl in the back is Kennedy from their old school)

On September 20th, I officially was in cuteness overload: Eli had his first Soccer Practice! *SQUEAL!*
The first practice went really well! I am impressed how smoothly and structured the coaches run the practices.
First practice pics:
Excited to be at Soccer Practice!
I may be a tad biased, but I do believe the kid has mad skills....
All the kiddos did a great job!
Okay, the warm-up and cooling down stretches are seriously may favorite part of the practice. They are soooo stinkin cute!
Coaches having an end of practice chat with the team. They are letting the kiddos decide on the team name....
I am going to leave you in suspense about the deicided team name for now. There is a cute story to go with it. :)

On September 22nd we celebrated a very special birthday..... sweet Sara turned 3! HAPPY BITHDAY SARA!! :)
Eli had so much fun!
He loved playing in the pool!
Some swim time with Sara....
Some boggie-board fun....
I LOVE this photo!
Eli and his pal Mason....
She is walking on air--LOL....
Surfer baby :)....
The kids also got to paint flower pots to take home. So cute!
I love that my Eli started by painting the INSIDE of the pot--Hehe :)
They also got to cruise around in Sara's Barbie Jeep (We so have blackmail for when these boys are older--HAHA!)....
Sara and Eli....
Eli, Mason and Avery blew bubbles....
Eli really enjoyed his "yummy gween cupcake!"
Sara loved opening all her presents :)....
I am pretty sure she loved the Princess doll from Eli (she is holding it in this pic and didn't want to put it down--hehe)
Eli also gave Sara some monkey slippers. He saw two pairs of monkey slippers when we were in Babies R Us a few weeks prior buying a baby shower gift. There were red monkey slippers and pink monkey slippers. He said, "Mommy, pwease get red monkies?" I decided to get them for him. He said, "And Sawa pink monkies She woves it so much!" It was toooooo cute! I love that he thinks of his friends. :)
So here is a pic of Eli rockin' his red monkey slippers....

When we got home, the first thing I did was find the perfect place to put Eli's beautiful potted plant....
The inside artwork still makes me giggle :)....
Anne also made me this blinged out Koozie, so I had to put it to use right away :)....
Such a fun time! Thank you for having us Sara!

We went to the park....

Had some puzzle time....
And enjoyed a homeade pizza I made from scratch (I can make a pizza--it's the Jersey in me--haha)....

It was the perfect end to a perfect month. :)
