Thankful for...

"Regardless of life's challenges, we have much to be thankful for. We can have an attitude of gratitude, focus on what is right in our lives and be thankful for those things."

I am thankful and grateful for all I have been blessed with.

I am thankful for...

*Eli...I have been blessed with the happiest, most amazing baby boy. I am thankful for him each and every day. He fills my heart.

*Charlie...My loving, supportive, hard working and wonderful husband who I love so much.

*Lulu...She is my furry child and I just love her to pieces.

*My Family...My Mom and Dad who put up with me through my teen years and decided not to dis-own me (haha). They have made me the person I am. I am thankful for their unconditional support and love.

*My brother, sis-in-law Samantha and nephew, Brandon...who always bring a smile to my face and I can laugh with for hours. :)

*All of my family--near and far. I miss and love you and wish we lived closer.

*My in-laws...Mom Brenner and Bob for always making our visits special and being such wonderful grandparents to Eli.

*Dad Webb and Nancy...for always thinking of Charlie, myself and their grandbaby. We may be apart in miles, but are close in heart. We love and miss you.

*Alison and David...who are just awesome and two of the most wonderful people I know. :) (I should probably be thanking T-Mobile for allowing me "unlimited text" to Alison--haha)

*My friends...I have the BEST girlfriends I could ever ask for. I truly value my friendships and am so thankful to have these girls in my life. :)

*My job...I am incredibly thankful to not only have a job, but a job I LOVE.

*Health.

I had an incredible Thanksgiving week!! That's right, I said "week." Each year, Galveston I.S.D. chooses a school calendar where we get the entire week of Thanksgiving off.

On Monday, Eli, Lulu and I headed out to Cypress to stay with Nana and Super Pop Pop. We stayed the entire week and had the best time! I got to spend time with my parents, visit with girlfriends and do some Christmas shopping!! Oh and if I haven't mentioned it before, my parents live dangerously close to this amazing Outlet Mall. :)

Eli had a lot of fun playing at Nana and Pop Pop's! He loves to run around their yard with Lulu and Farley. Pop Pop even took him to see the horses! I don't know what Eli thought of the horses. He just kind of stared at them, wide-eyed.

Eli also found a new favorite "toy" at Nana and Pop Pop's...an exercise ball--haha

On Thanksgiving Day, Eli and I headed over to The Woodlands for Thanksgiving with Charlie's family. Charlie went early that morning to play some golf. It was such a nice visit! Charlie's friend Dave drove in from Austin to join us for Thanksgiving. Alison, David and his daughter, Katie were there also. It was nice to just relax and visit.

On Friday, we celebrated Thanksgiving at my parents house. It was a day of visiting, delicious food and laughing. :)

The Sunday after Thanksgiving, there was a Craft Market in Cypress. My Mom and I decided to go do some Christmas shopping. The Craft Market was great!! I found a few unique gifts and am excited to give them. :)

There was a super special reason we couldn't wait to go to this Craft Market... Mr. Santa Claus himself made an appearance!!

I think Eli is officially old enough to know just how "scary" Santa is... poor little guy!!





On that note, I am just now finishing my Thanksgiving blog and Christmas is only a couple of weeks away!! The month is flying by!!

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13!

13 MONTHS.....13 MONTHS.....I keep saying that over and over in my head. How could my precious baby boy already be 13 months old?!? I look back at these monthly pictures from this past year and it is unreal just how fast he has grown! For that reason, I am so thankful I was sure to take his chair picture each month. It is so much fun to watch him grow and start to see his personality develop in the photos. :)

Our baby boy is now 13 MONTHS OLD!! This past month has been a little rough in the Webb house. One word to sum up this past month: SICKNESS. Our sweet Eli went for his 1 year checkup back in October. Sadly, the doctor was unable to give him his shots because he had ANOTHER Ear Infection. That made Ear Infection number 3 (within 2 1/2 months) for our poor little guy. I felt horrible because I had no idea he was sick! Eli was his normal, happy little self, so it never crossed my mind his ears were hurting him. :(

Here he is at the doctor's office.... does he look like he doesn't feel well to you?? haha.




The doctor gave Eli an antibiotic for his ears. During this time, I bring home a VIOLENT virus from school...let's just say it was horrible. As if my having this virus wasn't bad enough, I passed it along to Eli, Charlie, my Mom, Dad, best friend, her boyfriend and my sis-in-law. I am so glad everyone recovered and is back to normal!

Since we were back to feeling great the following weekend, Charlie took Eli and I to a Craft Show in Clear Lake. There were some really cute crafts to look at. There was also a Petting Zoo!

Of course we had to take Eli to pet the animals...







We then headed over to Kemah Boardwalk. It was such a nice day out and it was so much fun to just walk around. :) We walked the boardwalk and went in a few stores. Charlie then took us for a delicious dinner at "The Flying Dutchman." It was a perfect family day. :)





After our day at the boardwalk, Eli came home to a surprise in the mail from his Great Aunt Karen Lee and Great Uncle Jim. :) Thank you Aunt Karen Lee and Uncle Jim for the ADORABLE firefighter outfit!!

There is one day during the week I look forward to most. That day is Sunday. Along with Sunday being the designated "day of rest" and a day to to thank Him for all we have been blessed, this is the day of family togetherness at our house. Charlie regularly works a 6 day workweek, so his only guaranteed day off is Sunday. On his 1day off, he always makes sure to make this day all about his family....whether we go to the park, do some shopping, or just hang out at home. This is one of the many reasons I feel so blessed to have my Charlie. I sure am one lucky gal!!

As Eli grows older with each passing month, he also becomes busier. HAHA. Just when I thought he couldn't possibly move any faster... I just see this flash of white blonde hair whizz by (all the while giggling). He is just sooo much fun!! I laugh at some of the things I find in his toy bin: pieces of my tupperware, socks, DVD's....NEVER a dull moment!!

Hmmmm... I am pretty sure Eli must've been in the kitchen...



And possibly in the Living Room...



I just love our busy little boy!! :)

Here are some of the things Eli is doing at 13 MONTHS OLD:

*Eli has a mouth full of teeth!! His big teeth in the back are cutting through and so he likes to chew on his pacifier.
*He now RUNS pretty fast!!
*Eli learned how to pull himself up onto the couch, hold onto the back of the couch and bounce. (Mommy is not too crazy about this new found "hobby"--haha)
*He LOVES apples!! He eats them whole. (I think it feels good on his teeth)
*Eli LOVES to be chased and to chase!! He runs from Daddy as soon as he gets home from work and looks back so he will chase him-soooo cute!!
*Eli is not too crazy about having to take time out of his busy day to get his diaper or clothes changed. :)
*Eli is 24 lbs. 6 oz. (66th percentile for weight) and 32 inches long (98th percentile for height)
*He LOVES music!! I sing to him in the car all the time and he will clap his hands. When a pop song comes on the radio he likes he shakes his head back and forth and kicks his legs and squeals. I laugh everytime!
*Eli insists upon sharing EVERYTHING with Lulu. He doesn't understand when he is trying to SHARE his snack, why she takes the whole thing and that makes him very sad.
*Eli is saying/repeating new words all the time!! He has a few words he has attached meaning to: dog, cup, book, that, Mama, Dada, milk.

Oh and I am pretty sure whenever he looks at me, smiles and babbles, he is saying "I love you Mommy." ;)
