Summertime and the living is easy :)

My summer break with my favorite little guy is rapidly coming to an end. This has been the most AMAZING summer ever!! Who knew one little, tiny person could bring so much joy? Eli truly makes the best of times even better.

Mommy loves you so much sweet boy!

Eli turned 9 MONTHS OLD on July 15th!! He has been quite the explorer over the past month. He now crawls at light speed (haha) and the keyword this month seems to be "babyproof."

Happy boy crawling down the hallway...

Eli is also "cruising" along the table now. He will walk when holding onto something. I just love to watch him!

So I mentioned "babyproof" earlier. Well, there are some things you just cannot babyproof...

Lulu's water bowl, so Eli does not throw his pacifier in there to watch it float...

haha. There never is a dull moment! We sure do love that little guy!

Eli had a pretty amazing summer! We have done a lot over the past few weeks and I just loved every minute I was able to spend with him.

Grammy's birthday was on August 2nd! We had a nice time celebrating and visiting.

As you all know, I LOVE to bake--especially cupcakes!! So for Grammy's birthday, ELI decided we should bring Italian Cream Cupcakes, Chocolate Buttercream and Vanilla Buttercream cupcakes. Eli thought it would be a good idea to cater to everyone's cupcake preference. ;)

Eli had a fun time playing at Grammy and Paw Paw's. He even got to spend time with his cousin, Tanner. Tanner is turning 1 in just a few weeks! It's cute to see them play together, especially since they are pretty close in age.

Eli and I spent one afternoon with Anne and sweet baby Sara at Palm Beach. I just love watching those two babies!

We packed up and headed to Nana and Pop Pop's for a few days last week. It was soooo much fun to spend time with my family and catch up with girlfriends!

One day during our visit, Nana took us to the zoo! Eli had the best time!! We weren't sure if he would even notice the animals. I was shocked at how much he studied the animals!

Eli studying the lemurs at the zoo...

Nana pushed Eli in his stroller to see the animals...

Eli saw all kinds of animals at the zoo!

He even got to pet some animals in the Petting Zoo. :)

We spent that Friday taking a tour of the Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory in Brenham. My best friend Courtney and her sweet boy, Hayden went with us! We had such a great time! Oh and did I mention you get ice cream at the end of the tour? Yummm....

Friday night we celebrated my "baby" brother's 29th birthday!! Chris turned 29 on August 4th. I think I need to brag about my brother for a moment. My brother decided last year about this time that he was going to "get healthy." Well, my brother looks AMAZING!! He is in the best shape ever and I am just so proud of him. :)

LOVE you brudder!

For Chris's birthday my parent's got him this really cool sushi set! Chris is quite the chef and loves to try new recipes. Recently, he started making sushi. Charlie and I got him a Japanese cookbook that has a ton of sushi and other Japanese recipes.

Of course, I had to make cupcakes! My brother LOVES tart/lemon flavor things. I made Raspberry Lemon Curd Cupcakes. It was my first time to make them and they turned out pretty good! :)

As Eli is getting closer to 1 year old (sniffle, sniffle!), his personality shows more and more each day. He really is a funny little guy!

He will throw Lulu her toys for her to run after and he thinks it is hilarious! :)

Bathtime is still his favorite! Now he likes to play with the suds and tries to crawl in the tub (which makes Mommy NERVOUS!).

Even his monthly comparison photos cracked me up!

Eli actually had 2 chair photos because I couldn't decide which was funnier:

Eli sticking his tongue out at Mommy...

or Eli in shock that Lulu's toy makes a "squeak" noise?

Eli's comparison photo with Mr. Bear (he was having way too much fun talking to his bear--haha)...

These are some of my favorite photos from this past month...

Here are some of the things Eli is doing at 9 MONTHS OLD:

*Eli is crawling all over the place!
*He "cruises" along tables and will walk around his exersaucer and music table while holding on.
*He understands "No."
*Eli now will touch the pictures in his "touch and feel" books and point to the pictures.
*He is eating Stage 3 Gerber baby food. Lasagna and Strawberry Banana are his favorites. :)
*Eli loves to ride in the shopping cart at the grocery store! I have to remember to push the cart down the middle of the aisle because he will pull things off the shelves. haha.
*He will now push his toy trucks and cars on the floor to see them go. :)
*Eli likes to copy. I will place a block inside a box and say, "inside." He will look at me, pick up a block and set it inside the box.
*He LOVES the sound of his voice!
*Eli also likes to stick out his tongue and make a "pblttt" noise (such a boy!).
*He sleeps 11 hours straight every night. (Lucky Mommy and Daddy!)
*He now knows when Mommy is dropping him off at daycare and gets upset. It makes me sad....but when I get to pick him up and see a big smile on his face because he is excited to see me, that makes it all better. :)

Vacation :)

This summer we took Eli on his first vacation! We had such a special summer vacation this year! We visited relatives and introduced Eli for the first time.

Our first stop was in Tennessee. I had never been to Tennessee prior to this trip. All I can say is, "Wow!" What a BEAUTIFUL state!!

We stopped in Sweetwater, Tennessee and went on a cave tour. It was really cool!

Eli also got to ride in a boat.

Eli and Mommy on the boat...

He especially loved watching the Rainbow Trout jumping out of the water. :)

The reason we took this vacation was so we could introduce Eli to two very special people, his Grandpa and Little Gram. :)

Eli just LOVED them! They couldn't get enough of Eli and just loved watching him. :)

Eli and Grandpa...

Eli and Little Gram...

We just had such a wonderful visit!

Eli had a great time playing at his Grandpa and Little Gram's...

I LOVE this photo! This photo has 3 generations of the Webb men--Grandpa, Charlie and Eli...

I also LOVE this photo of Eli with his Little Gram and I...

While visiting Dad and Nancy, we also got to meet Janice and Larry. Janice is Charlie's Dad's cousin. We had such a nice afternoon with them! Dad and Nancy took us to lunch at this incredible place in town and we just enjoyed visiting.

Eli was being silly for Janice. I think he really liked her! :)

Eli, Janice and Larry...

Thankyou Dad and Nancy for such a WONDERFUL time! We truly had the best time and cannot wait to visit again. :) We love you! xoxo

Our next destination was Kingsport, Tennessee. We visited Uncle Gary and Aunt Ruth. This was such a fun visit! This was their first time to meet Eli too! They sure did enjoy having Eli around. :)

Aunt Ruth, Uncle Gary and Eli...

While we were there, we spent some time at this AMAZING park nearby! I have never seen anything like it!

Daddy and Eli at the park...

Eli with Daddy and Grammy at the park...

Eli experienced his first time in a swing at the park. :)

He wasn't sure at first....

But by the smile on his face....

I am pretty sure he loved it!

He also loved this red car thing that bounced back and forth...

Eli had so much fun!! He had fun just laughing with his Daddy :)

We headed back to Aunt Ruth and Uncle Gary's and let's just say BOTH of my guys were pretty worn out from a fun afternoon at the park. :)

Sweet Eli...

My Charlie...

We did get a nice family photo when my guys were awake...

That evening Uncle Gary made some delicious ribs and Aunt Ruth prepared an incredible meal--potato salad, biscuits, baked apples, corn on the cob.... it is making me hungry just thinking about it!

Cousins Emily, Kevin and Cathy came to visit and have dinner with us. It was a great night full of conversation and lots of laughs. :)

Thank you Carmichael's for such a memorable visit! We had so much fun and can't wait to see you again soon!

We just loved the scenery on this trip! Pictures do not even capture the beauty of the mountains driving through Tennessee and North Carolina.

We stopped at this pretty neat German restaurant in Asheville. I thought the decor inside was really cool!

I think Eli was fascinated by the hanging decorations also :)...

We took Eli's picture in this German guy outside of the restaurant...

Our last leg of the trip was to visit Aunt Gerry and Uncle Charles in South Carolina. We got to spend a lot of time with family while we were there. This was my first time to meet all of the Fletcher's! Everyone was just so sweet! They made me feel very welcome and I enjoyed spending time with them.

Pretty girls! (Abi, Jennifer, Gretchen and sweet Adeline)

Eli had a lot of fun at Aunt Gerry's and Uncle Charles' house!

He played with Adeline when she visited...

He also really liked looking out the window outside...

Aunt Gerry and Uncle Charles have the most amazing photo album collection! I LOVE looking through photo albums and seeing pictures of Charlie when he was little. We spent one evening going through photo albums and chatting. We really enjoyed that time together.

Aunt Gerry, here is a sweet photo of you and Eli to add to your album...

Thank you Aunt Gerry and Uncle Charles for a great time! You are such wonderful hosts and we appreciate you having us. Aunt Gerry, thank you for the delicious meals you prepared for us during our stay.....especially the Key Lime Pie! :) Hope to see you again soon! We love you!

After covering about 2500 miles with a 9 month old baby in tow, it was time to say our goodbye's to everyone and head back to Texas.

I would like to take a moment to brag about my little angel, Eli. Eli was soooo good the entire trip! I thought the car ride could possibly be really rough. Eli was a champ!! He played and laughed the entire car ride there and back. He only fussed when hungry, tired or needed to be changed.

Eli was his happy self and played in the car...

Sweet Eli on the way home...

We love you baby boy!!
