A year of new beginnings....

Happy New Year everyone!! I hope you all are had a wonderful New Year's celebration and are ready for a wonderful year of new beginnings. :)

On New Year's Eve, we headed to Cypress to spend it with my family and friends. :)

Earlier that day when we arrived at Nana and Super Pop Pop's, Eli and I decided to make the most of our afternoon by attempting to put together this "easy" Gingerbread Train. "Easy" was clearly a typo on the box--LOL.

Eli and I got all of our ingredients together...

Eli had such a fun time sticking on the colorful candies!

Let's just say the train wasn't happening....so we made our own very special Gingerbread House. :) It was made with love (even if it doesn't look anything like the picture on the box--Haha) and we had soooo much fun putting it together! :)

Eli spent the afternoon reading his books....

Looking for clever places to shove his goldfish crackers (haha)...

Snacking...

And running around outside...

Eli did stop for a brief second though, to allow us a couple of family pics :)

Later that evening we were able to pop fireworks! It was soooo much fun to watch! :)

Eli and Mommy ready for the show...

Charlie and his best buddy Dave getting the sparklers ready :)

Eli LOVED the sparkers!

Daddy and Eli having some sparkler fun...

Auntie Samantha and Eli...

Eli was a little trooper! He stayed up as long as he could and it was finally time for him to call it a night.

It was such a fun evening! My childhood friend Amanda came from New Jersey to visit :)...

The boys being boys...LOL

The crazy group....haha

My brother and I being silly...

Happy New Year from Charlie and I!

So as we enter a new year, the question people love to ask often comes up, "So what is your New Year's resolution?" Well, the truth of the matter is, I really don't like resolutions. I like to make small, personal goals for myself. I take time to think about what I should change, or what could I do better.

I made working out a part of my lifestyle many years ago. I think it is so important to be healthy. I will never be super skinny--nor do I want to be--but I will be a healthy person. I decided a couple of months ago to see just how much my body could handle and started doing Crossfit. It is AMAZING! I have never pushed so hard during a workout--from Kettlebells and running to squats and jump rope--it's INSANE and I LOVE it!

One of the trainers snapped this pic of me doing squats. I'm not so pretty working out...but love to see myself working hard :)

So wish me luck on this new journey I have started, I am really excited about it! :)

The Saturday after New Year's, Anne and I decided to take Sara and Eli to Moody Gardens Rainforest Pyramid. It was really cool! Eli really enjoyed seeing the different animals. :)

Sara and Eli...

Checking everything out...

I thought it was so cool the monkey was right there--no cage or anything...

We also got to see beautiful birds...

Eli loved this "wizard" (as he called it--hehe)...

I loved seeing all of the colorful flowers...

Eli and Sara had a great time at the Rainforest Pyramid...

After we left, we decided to go to the park nearby. On our way to the park, Eli and Sara found some puddles to play in. Anne and I joked that we didn't even need an admission ticket for these two to have a good time. :)

They are some funny kiddos...

I dressed Eli WAY too warm that day. :( Poor thing was covered in sweat! This weather is nuts and I can't keep up with it! So when we got to the park, his pants were stuck to him from the sweat, so I took his pants off of him to dry while he played. I look up and Sara was taking her pants off and sat down next to Eli. :) Anne and I cracked up!

Our pants-less little ones....

Thank you silly kiddos for a super day! Your Mommies sure do have fun with you two! :)

Well with our new year upon us, we decided it was time for Eli to get haircut number 2. :) I have the hardest time taking my Eli to get his haircut because I felt like he looked so grown after his first haircut back this past summer. The lady did a fantastic job, it's just me wanting to keep him a baby as long as possible. *sigh*

So this time we took Eli to a place called "Cool Cuts 4 Kids." This place was sooooo cool!

The waiting area had all kinds of toys and a Lego table...

He was even able to pick out his own movie to watch while he got his haircut! He sat in a car and the hairdresser (Fawn--she is AMAZING!) gave him little Cars to play with while she cut his hair.

Eli cried a little...

But once he realized it didn't hurt, he was okay :)...

Fawn did such a fantastic job cutting Eli's hair! She was so sweet and really listened to how we would like his hair. She trimmed it out of his eyes and cut some off the back, so it's still a little long, but not in his face.

Eli's newly tamed locks...

On Saturday, January 14th, a pretty important milestone was celebrated at the Webb household. We officially said "Bye-Bye" to the binky.

That morning I took Eli to the store to pick out some balloons.

We then came home and I read him this story, "No More Pacifier for Piggy." It is about a character named Piggy who always has a pacifier in his mouth, so his friend has trouble understanding him. It's a cute story. :)

After the story, I tied Eli's binkies to the bottom of the balloons...

I explained to Eli that we had to send the binkies to the babies for them to use since he is a big boy now. :)

We then released the ballons...

Eli wasn't too sure about how he felt at first...

He then decided to yell "Bye Bye bink! Bye babies!" and watched the balloons float away....

So "Operation Bye-Bye Binky" was a success! Eli really understood that the binkies were gone. He handled it really well.

Mommy, on the other hand, did get a little teary eyed. :(

After all, how could I not when I still look at my Eli and remember this?

**LOVE**

The following day we had a family day and went to The Boat and RV Show downtown.

Eli loved checking out all of the boats with Daddy...

He also gave Daddy input on which campers he liked...

Pretty sure that the one with the bunk beds was his favorite...LOL....

The next weekend, Eli and I went to meet my friend April and her son Aidan to play at the jumpy place in Friendswood. :)

Oh and Miss Zoey also was there! She can't jump yet, so she was just the cutest little cheerleader ever....

Mommy and Zoey....

I think Aidan and Eli have enough energy for everyone, so the jumpy place is pretty ideal for them. They just get to run around and be boys, so it's perfect! :)

Aidan going down the slide...

Smiley boy!

My Eli :)

They're off!

Chasing each other...

I thought this pic was cute :)...

Taking a breather...

My little dare-devil has no fear...

So one of our little darlings found this roller and took it our of one of the jump houses. They both then decided it needed to be moved. April and I couldn't help but laugh at the two of them...

After a fun afternoon of jumping and one look at the tired face below, we knew it was time to head home. :)

So far 2012 is off to a great start! I am excited to see what the rest of the year brings! :)
