Is there a pause button?

Our sweet baby boy is now SIX MONTHS OLD! Each month with Eli just gets better and better. Sometimes I just wish I had the ability to stop time, so I can enjoy this time with him just a little while longer. It is amazing how quickly he does something new now! We don't even see it coming!

The other day (on his 6 month birthday), I had laid him on his back and handed him a toy. I walked into the kitchen to turn the oven on and when I walked back out he was on his belly, pushed up as if he were going to crawl! It happened that fast... in a matter of seconds, he decided it was time to roll completely over.

I missed the first roll over, but I did get his second time on video!

Eli rolling over...

Eli LOVES to "talk" and make noises. He especially likes loud noises (Lulu barking, sneezing, coughing) and thinks they are so funny!

Here is a video of Eli with his new favorite noise he likes to make...

Eli is now able to hold himself up in a sitting position! He is soooo close to sitting up all the way.

Awhile back (while I was still pregnant), my girlfriends and I decided to have a "Girl's Weekend" in April. We had decided on the weekend of April 10th because Bon Jovi was going to be performing in Dallas! I am a HUGE Bon Jovi fan (afterall, I am from Jersey) and was looking forward to some girl time, wedding talk (my best friend Bre is getting married!), shopping and the concert.

Just a few snapshots from the Bon Jovi concert...we had a blast!!

I am not going to lie, leaving Eli wasn't easy. I had a lot of built up anxiety due to the thought of leaving him. Of course, everything went great and Eli had a wonderful weekend! I was worried that maybe he would forget me, or wouldn't miss me....but when I returned Sunday I was greeted with a big Eli smile and he put his head on my shoulder and gave me "love pats." Those are the moments that make life worth living. :)

Eli went for his 6 month appointment. He was such a happy boy and playing when we arrived! It always breaks my heart when he has to get shots. Luckily, he always seems to bounce back pretty quickly. He will sleep heavily for an hour afterwards and then he is good to go!

The doctor just LOVES Eli! She said he is "developing wonderfully!" She is also thrilled with his growth! He now weighs 19lbs 15oz and is 29 1/2 inches long! He is in the 89th percentile for weight and 95th percentile for height. His head measurement was off the charts! This made Charlie and I laugh because we know we both have larger sized heads. :)

He is a growing boy! This month I decided to post his 1 month chair photo and his 6 month chair photo. I can't believe Eli was ever that tiny!

Eli's bear comparison photos were interesting this month, to say the least. It is getting harder and harder to keep him still! haha. Eli kept wanting to eat the bear and play with it.

So this is how our photo session started... :)

I did end up getting the comparison photo! My sweet baby boy sure has grown!

The doctor told me I can now feed him any of the Stage 2 baby foods. I was very excited about this because there is a much bigger selection of Stage 2 foods! Eli had Macaroni and Cheese with vegetables for dinner. He LOVED it! He must take after his Mommy because we all know cheese is her weakness. ;)

Eli is now eating in his highchair! He LOVES when I put him in his highchair because he knows that means it is time to eat. :)

Eli enjoying Wild Blueberries, Bananas and Oatmeal in his highchair...

He is also allowed to drink 6 ounces of half juice/half water now. The doctor wants me to give him this out of a sippy cup. We will start that tomorrow. I am anxious to see how he does with the cup.

Of course I had to take some 6 month photos of my precious Eli to share!

Happy boy...

Here are some of the things Eli is doing at 6 months old:

*Eli is now eating Stage 2 baby food! I am excited about this because there is a much bigger variety to choose from.

*Eli is now eating in his highchair. (Such a big boy!)

*He likes to take his toys and hit other toys. He thinks the loud noise is soooo funny! He is such a boy! haha

*Eli now rolls over from his back to his belly. :)

*Now that Eli can roll onto his tummy, I always find him in a different position when he is sleeping.

*He can stand solid by holding onto the table all by himself!

*He is wearing 9 month size clothing.

*He is almost sitting up by himself. He will use his hands to keep himself balanced.

*Eli is fascinated with his feet! His favorite thing to do is put them in his mouth. haha

*He now is able to eat the Gerber Puff snacks. Eli likes the Cherry ones best so far (Mommy prefers the Apple Cinnamon--LOL).

*Eli LOVES hair and likes to grab a big handful and pull!

*Eli now has 2 teeth!

*He notices EVERYTHING! I often wonder what he is staring at. He just takes it all in.

*He has the cutest little personality! He thinks Lulu is hysterical and smiles a HUGE smile at her everytime she walks by and will reach out to "pet" her. It is the sweetest thing ever :).

Eli's First Easter!

We had such a wonderful time celebrating Eli's first Easter! I look forward to taking Eli to Sunday School when he is older, so he can learn why Easter is such a special holiday.

Happy Easter Eli!

Mommy loves you...

Eli had his first visit from the Easter Bunny! We truly had the best time watching Eli look at his goodies the Easter Bunny had left him.

Eli's first Easter basket....

Lulu had a lot of fun going through her Easter basket...

I had a FOUR day weekend on Easter weekend! Schools were closed on Good Friday. G.I.S.D. scheduled for an off day on the school calendar the Monday after Easter as long as we didn't use a "Weather Day."

On Friday I spent the day running errands. As you all know, I LOVE to bake! I decided to wait until I put Eli to bed that night to bake my Easter goodies. One of the desserts I decided to make for the first time was a Fruit Pizza. Usually I am good about reading directions prior to starting a project of any sort (that is the teacher in me!). However, I did not read the directions before making this Fruit Pizza (notice I used the word "project" above--haha). For a dessert I thought looked so simple, it took me a lonnnggg time to make.

It did turn out pretty though... :)

Saturday we went to the Brenner's to celebrate Easter. We had a lovely time! This was the first holiday we spent the day before the holiday in one place and the day of the holiday in one place. It was so nice because we were able to relax and enjoy our visit. :)

Alison and David...

Sure do love my Charlie.... :)

Later that afternoon, Chelsey came by to visit and bought baby Tanner. It is always so much fun to have babies together and see how they interact with one another. :)

Chelsey, Zack, Eli and Tanner...

Tanner got a kick out of Lulu! He would just look at her and crack up! It was the funniest thing ever! I soooo wish I had video footage.

I did get a picture of Tanner laughing...

After a fun day visiting, we headed to Cypress to my parents house. I got Eli ready for bed in his Easter pajamas. I just LOVE these pajamas! They have little bunny feeties and a cottontail on his bottom.

The next morning Eli woke up to a giant surprise! The Easter Bunny left him a HUGE stuffed bunny!

We had the best day talking and laughing with family. :)

Eli's 1st Spring Break :)

I thought I would start off this blog by bringing a smile to everyone's face. I mentioned a couple blog posts ago that I just LOVE the sound of Eli laughing.... well, guess what I got on video?

Eli making his laughing debut.... Enjoy!

Spring Break came and went as fast as the blink of an eye. I just wanted more time to spend with Eli. I find myself using those two words a lot these days-- "more time." Everyone told me, "Enjoy this time with Eli. They grow up so fast." It was the most wonderful feeling to know I wouldn't miss out on anything and was there to see firsthand, his new discoveries each day during the break. After having that time off with Eli and being able to spend all day with him, it was almost as if the "starting over" emotions came back. I cried the entire way dropping him off at daycare the first day back from break. I just wanted more time...

Mommy and Eli...

Eli and I had such a wonderful Spring Break! Charlie had been wanting to get a new roof and was looking for a good time to have the work done. He thought I could go spend some of my break in Cypress and have the work done then. Of course Charlie missed us like crazy (especially "Little Man")! He kept using the words "really quiet" to describe life without myself, Eli and Lulu while we were gone. I think he missed the craziness of the Webb family without us there-- haha.

That Monday I met up with my best friend Courtney to workout, have dinner and do a little shopping. Nana and Super Pop Pop had the best time babysitting! Of course now that Super Pop Pop knows how to text message, I received one that said, "Who knew Eli likes to eat chicken?" while I was at dinner with Courtney. haha

Courtney and I...

The next day Courtney and I spent the day with our boys! Courtney's son Hayden will be 5 years old in a couple of weeks. He just LOVED Eli and wanted to take care of him. It was truly the sweetest thing I have ever seen.

On Wednesday, Eli and I went over to Grammy and Paw Paw's to visit. Grammy had invited some of her friends over to meet Eli and have lunch. All of the ladies were so sweet and really enjoyed visiting with Eli.

Eli surrounded by lovely ladies...

Wednesday was also St. Patrick's Day! I had to get Eli this "My First St. Patrick's Day" bib because he is part Irish!

Eli sportin' his green...

We went home and had a traditional Irish feast: corned beef, cabbage and red potatoes...mmmmmm.

Another very special thing about March 17th is it is my sweet Lulu's birthday! Lulu is now 3 years old!!!

Happy Birthday Lulu! WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Speaking of our sweet Lulu, she had a very rough time throughout the Spring Break week. She had some tummy trouble and it seemed to be getting worse by the end of the week. Mommy and Daddy were worried sick about her! I bought her to the vet and there was mention of possible Pancreatic infection. I am happy to say she did not need any kind of surgery or anything serious. It turns out she had an intestinal infection and is currently on antibiotic and a special diet. She is already back to her fun, playful self! We appreciate your prayers and thank you for all of your calls and letters of concern.

I was able to catch up with some of my lovely girlfriends during the break! One afternoon, Eli and I went to visit my friend Magen. This was a very exciting visit because Magen moved into her new house a few months back and it was my first time visiting! I loved visiting with her and taking a tour around her house. It is decorated beautifully and it was just such a warm home-- lots of candles and pictures. We also were able to visit with Magen's Mom during our visit and just had such a nice time!

Magen just loved Eli and he loved her! Look at the smile on his face...

Thursday afternoon we met up with my dear friend Shannon and her three girls, Kirsten, Kalyn, and Kendall at the park. I loved watching and listening to the girls. They are all soooo different from one another and I just loved seeing their different personalities.

It was such a beautiful day and having all these beautiful children around, I just HAD to take some pictures!!

On Friday I got to spend the entire day with my Mom and Eli. We went to the Outlet Mall for some "retail therapy." Carter's Outlet Store (for babies) was on the top of our list. We had such a blast shopping for Eli! He got his first pair of bathing trunks and I just can't wait to see him all decked out for the pool! Thanks Mom for such a fun day! We love you!

Nana and Eli...

That evening my brother and Samantha stopped by my parents on their way home from a vacation in San Antonio. They had a great time! They bought Brandon to Sea World and Six Flags.

We were glad they stopped by (knowing they had been in the car a longggg time) because we had my sis-in-law's birthday to celebrate!

Happy Birthday Samantha!

After an amazing week of family and friends, I was ready to head home and see my Charlie! I missed him terribly! We really enjoyed our family time together and spent the remainder of the weekend playing with Eli and Lulu.

Daddy sure did miss his little guy...

I returned to work that Monday and Eli went back to daycare. I had a hard time dropping him off after having spent an entire week with him by my side. However, as sad as I was, Eli really loves daycare and his teachers love him! Besides, we don't have the super cool jumper they have at his school. :) When I went to pick him up that afternoon, they had him in the jumper and he was laughing and smiling from ear to ear. That made my heart smile because I can tell just how much he enjoys being there.

I asked Anne if she wanted to take Sara and join Eli and I to go visit the Easter Bunny at the mall. Anne was excited to get Sara dressed up to see the Easter Bunny and do some shopping! We had the best time! Sara was all smiles for Mr. Bunny. It was so cute! Eli on the other hand, suddenly discovered he was able to rotate both of his feet in small circles. So there my baby boy sat on the Easter Bunny’s lap….watching his feet move in circles while sucking his thumb. It was HYSTERICAL! I laughed and laughed! Eli saw that I was laughing and I started waving my arms, so he flashed a big grin and ended up with the most adorable picture!

Anne and I are really blessed. We have such good babies! We must've spent half the day getting pictures, having lunch, shopping and the 2 of them only fussed once because they were hungry.

I forgot my camera in the car during the early part of the day, so was unable to get pictures when we first arrived to see the Easter Bunny. I did get pictures of sweet Sara and Eli later in the afternoon.

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter!
