In Loving Memory...

On Wednesday, March 21st, my grandfather went to dance with the angels. Anyone who knew him, loved him. He was an amazing man--a kind man with a big heart. He was a loving husband, married to my Nana for 65 years. I remember watching the two of them holding hands at my wedding and having such admiration for the love and respect they had for one another. He was a wonderful father to my Dad and Aunt Karen-Lee. He was a one-in-a-million grandfather to myself,Chris, Beth and Neal and a great-grandfather to Brennan, Lucy, Jamie and Eli. We all have a special place in our hearts for him and many fond memories. We all miss him greatly.

"Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be more than a thought apart,
for as long as there is memory, they'll live on in the heart."

He spent an incredible 83 years here on Earth and now is celebrating his life with Christ. I love you Grandpa. Until we meet again....

Spring is here!

Spring is here! You all know what that means....it's that time of year where I get to brag about having 9 whole days off of work for Spring Break to spend with my Eli. :)

I can't help it-- I mean, this little guy right here. He has my heart.....

***********************************************************************************************
We started off the month of March with a playdate with my friend Amy and her cutie patootie son, Jacob.

We took the boys to a park nearby and let them run around and be boys. They had a blast!

I thought it was cute they decided to watch the big boys play tennis on the court.....

Amy and Jake...
Mommy and Eli...
The boys had such a fun day playing together. I look forward to more Eli-Jake playdates! :) ***********************************************************************************************
That week at school was Texas Public School Week. Each year during this time, the school has little fun things planned for the students.

Here is a pic of myself and two students on "College Shirt Day" representing our Aggies....

And of course I was sure to dress my little Aggie accordingly that morning....

Eli had Dr. Seuss week at his school that week. One day he was allowed to wear "crazy socks." So I thought I could dress him in one red and one white sock. Yea, he was NOT having that. He said, "No Momma! Need red sock! No white!" So here he is ready for school in his NON-crazy socks..... (hehe)

He also got to wear his pajamas to school one day and thought that was the COOLEST THING EVER.

So our first weekend of Spring Break it rained. Shocker. Haha. So Eli helped me make breakfast that morning. He did a great job! He is quite the little chef....

He also had a blast painting....

Eli then made Nana and Grammy a special St. Patrick's Day picture...

Notice how he lined up all of his cars to watch him.... hehe
He played a Memory Card Game with Mommy and was very good at it!
We also had a Family Movie Night.... :)
***********************************************************************************************
The next day Eli had a birthday party to go to. His little buddy Aidan is now 3 years old!! The birthday boy had his celebration at the jumpy place, so it was a fun time for all the kiddos.

Eli LOVESSSS the jumpy place....
The Birthday Boy! :)
Aidan had a Cars themed cake for his party. It was really cute!

And somehow, the Birthday Boy's sister, sweet Zoey, managed to sleep through all of the excitement... haha
Such a fun time! Thank you Aidan for having us!
***********************************************************************************************
So Spring Break week was just perfect! I was productive. I got to spend time with friends. I got to go places. I also got to relax. Most importantly, I got to spend time with my precious Eli, Charlie and family. I couldn't have asked for a better week. :)

*********************************************************************************************** We spent lots of time outside (when it wasn't raining).... bubbles, bike riding....etc.
Eli loves bubbles...
Eli also was "Daddy's Helper" a lot. He loves working with his Daddy :)
***********************************************************************************************
One night I had a Girl's Night out with my girlfriends. We had a blast! We just laugh and laugh. :)

We started off with some of these....

And then headed to the rodeo to see Miranda Lambert. :)

My lovely ladies and I....

Me and my other half....
***********************************************************************************************
My Mommy and I got to spend lots of time together. :) We took Eli to go see the bluebonnets one afternoon.

We found a great patch of bluebonnets towards Brenham....

We then found a great little park on the way home, so stopped to play.
***********************************************************************************************
Eli got to spend time with his Grammy and Paw Paw too. :) He had a fun visit!

On the way home, we stopped to feed the ducks at this park in Tomball. It is such a great park! Lots to do and see.

Eli (being VERY cautious--hehe) going to feed the ducks....
Playtime!
My two favorite pics of the day....
I just love this park! It is soooo pretty! :)
After the park, Nana and Pop Pop babysat so I could go have dinner with my brother. He treated me to a really nice dinner at Redfish Seafood Grille.
Thank you brother!!! :) It was soooo yummy!!!

This was my meal....soooo worth every scrumptious calorie I consumed! :)
****************************************************************************
One thing Eli really looked forward to doing during the break was going to feed the "horsies" at Nana and Super Pop Pop's house.

Off to feed...
Spice & Autumn...
That Friday evening my Mom made her famous St.Patrick's Day feast-- Corned Beef, Cabbage, Red Potatoes for dinner....

She also made this delish Apple Cake for dessert....Mmmmm....

Thank you Mommy and Daddy for keeping us and feeding us during the break! We love you and will see you soon! :)
***********************************************************************************************
St. Patrick's Day morning we headed home. We had a birthday to celebrate! Our sweet Lulu (a.k.a. "furry child") turned 7 years old. :)

Lulu got to have some special dinner and dessert(and a haircut!).

She also got a new puppy bed. Eli picked this out for her.... so sweet!
***********************************************************************************************
Also, my very dear friend Nancy has a St. Patrick's Day birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU MY FRIEND!! I know you had fun celebrating your special day! xoxo
***********************************************************************************************
The last weekend in March, I took Eli to Froberg Farms to pick strawberries. He had soooo much fun!! You are allowed to buy a bucket for $1 and then you pay per pound what you pick. I thought for sure he would fill it, but he was VERY selective with the strawberries he picked. LOL.

Froberg Farms....
There were a lot of people picking strawberries that day...
My little guy picking strawberries :)
They also had a BEAUTIFUL produce selection at their Farmer's Market. I went to town! I also was such a nerd and took pictures of it--but I couldn't help myself! It was soooo colorful! Of course Eli thought since he had a bucket he could put whatever he wanted inside, so it was a sad moment when he found out that wasn't the case. haha.

Flowers...
Herbs...
Produce...
Our pickins' :)

Til next time.....
