Eli and I started off the month preparing for the Easter Bunny. Eli was VERY excited about the Easter Bunny this year. :)
We went to the grocery store to pick up some eggs to dye and there was some promotional thing going on--they had balloons, face painting, games and such. Eli wanted to "get paint," so we did. Eli had a very specific vision of this paint creation. He held out his arm and said, "Paint car here peas." Luckily, the man painting was quick to answer with, "How about racecar flames? Like a fast car?" So that is just what Eli got....
He thought he was soooo cool and kept saying, "Whoa! E-yi fast!" Haha.
We finally got home and were able to dye eggs.
Eli got started right away and was excited to use all the colors....
He then decided he liked the green dye best--because that is where all the eggs went. HAHA!
I just loved our green eggs!
Eli had lots of fun dying Easter eggs and was very satisfied with his final product. :)
We finished our fun day with a family dinner on the patio. I tried this new recipe for Crock Pot Cilantro Cuban Pork. It was really yummy! The meat just fell apart it was so tender. I also made some Cucumber Tomato Salad and some steamed Asparagus.
Eli ate ALL of his! (He also had rice and applesauce with his)
He worked up quite the appetite playing outside with Daddy....
But he still made sure to take a break and say, "Cheese" for Mommy. :)

That Thursday Eli had his Easter celebration at school.
Eli and Mommy worked on treats the night before for his classmates....
He woke up Thursday morning with his "Toy Story" Easter bucket for Easter eggs and refused to take his pajama shirt off (which happened to be "Toy Story" also). So this is how my poor, pitiful Eli looked before we left for school that morning...
Well once he got to school he was awake and ready to go. He had such a fun day! He told me about his Easter Egg Hunt and was all smiles. :)
His teachers got all of the kiddos these cute little buckets and had them decorate them prior to the hunt. I thought that was so sweet of them!

On Good Friday, Anne and I decided to brave the mall to take Sara and Eli to see the Easter Bunny. :)
I must say, the kiddos were pretty good waiting in line.
I love this photo of them playing with their Mommies phones while they wait....
Got this cute shot of sweet Sara...
As excited as our two little ones were to see the Easter Bunny, they were not so excited when they actually sat down on his lap. HAHA.
But after the "torture" of getting photos with Mr. Bunny, they were rewarded with these cute little masks...
Eli thought the masks were great. He also thought the pebbles used for decoration were great too and had some fun boy time playing in them--LOL...
We then took Eli and Sara to the children's clothing store. They had fun playing while their Mommies shopped. :)
We then headed over to Kemah for lunch and some boardwalk fun.
We lunched at The Aquarium...
The little ones then played in the water for a little bit :)
They both decided they needed their Mommies sunglasses since it was so sunny...LOL
The one thing Sara could not wait to do was to "ride the horsies!"
Sara loved her pretty "horse"....
Eli lovedddd the horses too! Since we have gone, he now says, "Go see Sara and horsies?" Hehe
Smiley boy enjoying the carousel...
It sure was a perfect day at the boardwalk! :)

On Easter Sunday we were all excited to see the Easter Bunny had visited!
I must say, I appreciated the very small quantity of candy the Easter Bunny left. Instead, he opted to bring Eli goodies such as books, bubbles, finger paint and a bathing suit. He was also so thoughtful to bring Mommy her favorite fitness magazine, Crystal Light and some shampoo as opposed to chocolate goodies. ;)
Eli was soooo excited to go through his Easter basket! Here he is showing his cars and hamming it up for the camera. :)
He then had an "Egg-in-the-Nest" for breakfast. This was my favorite breakfast as a child and I cannot believe I didn't think to make it for him before now. He gobbled it up! :)
Eli had a fun Easter morning!
He painted....
Made a cotton ball bunny craft....
Colored with Daddy....
Found things in his "I Spy" book....
He also made a "Bunny House" using Graham Crackers, Candies and homeade buttercream frosting....
And of course the best part....eating the frosting! Yummm!!!
Eli then looked out the window and saw the Easter Bunny had hid eggs for him to find!
He had a blast hunting for Easter Eggs....
We then had a nice Easter dinner. I made a ham, green beans, broccoli rice casserole and my Nana's Pineapple Bread....
I also tried a new recipe for dessert: Lemon Raspberry Pie....
Our family had a wonderful day celebrating Easter! We missed our family in Cypress and the Woodlands this year, but look forward to seeing them soon. Love you all. xoxo

The following weekend "The Grand Kid's Festival" was held in the Historic Strand District in Galveston. I invited Grammy to come spend the day with Eli and I.
There were so many cool things for the kids to do!
Eli got to meet some "friends" along the way. He wasn't too sure about them, but would still always stop to give them a high-five....
My FAVORITE activity they had set up was the Home Depot booth where little ones could pick something to build. Eli got to make a heart basket. :)
He also got his face (well half of his face--haha) painted....
Spent time in the Petting Zoo....
There was a "Kitchen Band" set up. I thought this was soooo cute!
Eli was intrigued by a this play as we were walking by and decided to sit and watch for a minute....
He also caught bubbles with Grammy....
I think Eli probably enjoyed the motorized boats the best. He thought he was pretty cool getting to be Captain Eli ;)
We then went down to the pier to eat lunch. I love the scenery there!
Poor Eli was soooo tired from his super exciting afternoon! However, I did manage to get a cute pic of him with Grammy before he was completely done....
Such a fun day! Thanks for coming with us, Grammy! :)
After we got home, Eli got his second wind and was ready to play!
He loves playing with the hose and thinks it is so funny to spray people!
That evening was a marker for the baby book.... My BABY boy's crib was converted into a big boy bed. *tear*
Daddy and Eli sitting in his new big boy bed....
Ready to try out his new bed....

On April 28th, a very special event took place....
I hosted a SURPRISE Shower for my sweet friend, Anne! I just love her to pieces and wanted to have a special day to celebrate. :)
I decided on a Shower where guests could "pamper" Mommy with gifts she would like and "pamper" baby by bringing a package of Pampers diapers. Everyone was so wonderful and loved the opportunity to pamper both Mommy and sweet baby girl.
The decorations were pink, green and white--the color scheme of the nursey (although her green is much softer) and daisies.
The sign-in book....
Daisy favors for the lovely guests....
Anne's friend Sara was fabulous and helped with decorations and addresses. She is so sweet and creative. :) She made this basket and had people fill out their envelopes for Thank you cards....
A few more pretty touches....
Sara also made these pinwheels as centerpieces for the tables. Aren't they cute? :)
Now onto my favorite part.....THE CUPCAKES! I ordered these cupcakes from Mrs. Gatti's Gourmet Cupcakes in League City. They were delicious!
The beautiful Mommy and her guests :)
The lovely ladies of Second Grade (Judith, Anne, Nancy, me and Jan)....

Anne and Sara....
Anne and Karen....
We all love this little Momma!

It made my heart smile to shower such a beautiful person--both inside and out. Love you Anne! Can't wait to meet precious baby girl! xoxo
