I now have a little companion to spend my summer with and I must say, I feel pretty darn lucky to have him. :)

Eli and I had so much fun over the summer!
We did a lot of regular activities, such as:
Go to the library....
Attended weekly Swim Lessons....
Built towers....

Went on regular family walks....

Had Mommy, Eli and "Buzz Lightyear" frozen yogurt dates....

Practiced our A,B,C's....
Rode bikes....

Completed puzzles....
Enjoyed swim time in our little backyard pool....
Sometimes he went "swimsuit optional" (don't worry, sunscreen was applied--haha)

With Lulu too! Hehe....
And every outside toy he could find--LOL....
Most importantly, we spent lots of time smiling, laughing and being silly.... :)

I just love the month of June! There are so many things to celebrate!
On June 9th, Charlie and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary. I cannot believe it has already been 5 years since we exchanged "I Do's." Thank you Charlie for being such a wonderful, loving husband and amazing father. I love you so very much! xoxo
The date of our actual Anniversary we spent a relaxed, nice evening at home. We had made special date night plans a couple weeks after. :)
Our evening was very sweet! :)
I had a little setup for my Charlie....
We relaxed (and I posed--haha) outside....
I made a pretty delish dinner--Cilanto Lime Shrimp, Stuffed Clams and Steamed Green Beans....

And I spent time with my love....
The next day we went out for a family dinner at a nearby seafood restaurant.
The restaurant was..... okay. One of those places where you weren't sure who/where your server was and the food was not so great. On the bright side, Charlie and I had a good laugh about it and Eli LOVED the Hushpuppies....
The self serve ice cream....
And looking at the fish tanks with Daddy....
When we got home, Eli got to help Daddy put together his anniversary gift :) ....
It was a perfect weekend. LOVE. :)

The following weekend we celebrated Father's Day. I love my Daddy so very much! Happy Father's Day to my Dad, the best Daddy a girl could ever ask for. :)
Eli is so blessed to have such a loving, caring, hard-working and dedicated Daddy. :) He is one-in-a-million and we love him so much! Happy Father's Day Daddy!

Eli had really put a lot of thought into his Father's Day gift for his Daddy. He kept saying, "I make Dada a crab!" I am still unsure where that idea came from...but when we were in Hobby Lobby earlier that week, Eli said, "There it is! I make Dada that!" I look and he was pointing to a plastic crab you can paint and hang. OF COURSE I had to get it. :)
We got home and Eli got busy painting his crab for Daddy....
Look at these fine motor skills! Proud Momma!
On Father's Day morning, my little helper helped me make Daddy's favorite breakfast: Biscuits and gravy. :)
We had a wonderful, outside family day. It was really nice!
That evening we popped popcorn and put in a movie to watch. :)
I think we wore Daddy out... Hehe ;)

The week of June 18th I spent a few days in San Anotnio to attend a curriculum conference for work. I am not gonna lie, we played way more than we worked. I love the ladies I work with and we had such a fun time!
My "roomie" April and I....
Good times with a fun group of ladies....

On June 23rd, my beautiful friend Magen exchanged vows with her husband, Allen. It was such a beautiful ceremony and Charlie and I thoroughly enjoyed celebrating her special day.
Ready for a night out....
The invitation....
The ceremony setup...
The groom anxiously waiting for his bride....
Here comes the stunning bride....
"I do"....
The reception....
The favors were FUDGE (the BEST fudge I have ever had!)....
With the bride, groom and my dear friend Victoria :)....
Charlie and I with the Newleyweds :)....

June 28th is my Charlie's birthday! It seemed we had been going quite a bit recently, so he opted for a simple celebration at home. It was simple, but Eli and I made sure to make it special. Happy Birthday my honeybee! We love you so very much! xoxo
Eli made this handprint poster for his Daddy and could not wait to give it to him. Look how excited he is....makes my heart smile :)
Eli was also sure to assist Daddy in opening his presents....
Charlie checking out one of the gifts we gave him....
We gave him a photo book. I thought it was really special....
Happy Birthday husband!! We love you!!

On June 30th another little princess made her grand entrance:
Miss Emily Anne Sonderfan was born! My sweet friend Anne had her second baby girl that afternoon. She is absolutely perfect!
My first visit with Emily....

She is such a doll. :) Congratulations your beautiful blessing Anne and Jason!!

The Fourth of July was on a Wednesday this year, so we decided to go see fireworks nearby on the Fourth and celebrate with family that weekend.
That morning I made a festive breakfast for Eli....
After a day of playing outside, we headed out to see the fireworks in Kemah that evening.
We were waiting and ready for the fireworks to start....

When the firework show began, Little Man was mesmorized by them....
That Saturday, family came over to celebrate. We had a great time!
The munchies and setup....
My flag mini-cheesecakes (I forgot the aluminum cupcake wrappers, so they didn't look as pretty...but they were still yummy)....
I am so glad everyone could come!
Mom, Dad and I....
Charlie and his Mom (LOVE this picture!)....
Charlie with his Mom and Bob....

One of our favorite activities during the summer is going to the beach. We spent quite a bit of time beachin' it over the summer. :)
"Auntie" Courtney and Hayden came down a few times to go to the beach.
Here we are waiting for them to arrive to go to the beach one day. Buckets on our heads, we are ready to go! HAHA.

Here is a pic of one of those fabulous tourist umbrellas...(I couldn't resist! They are so colorful!)
We had a few crystal clear days that were just perfect!
The boys always had a blast! Here are some photos from the beach adventures of Eli and Hayden....

We also spent a couple of days at the beach with Sara and baby sister Emily towards the end of the summer. These two kiddos are so cute :)
***************************************************************************************
Another favorite activity in this area is the "jumpy place." The kiddos LOVE it! And I love it because it keeps my busy boy occupied (while wearing him out) and it is easy to watch him and even relax a little. :)
We met up with friends a few times throughout the summer.
Eli met up with his friend Elizabeth to play one day....
I can't believe how well and quickly he can climb these things....
Eli adores Miss Monika :)....
We also met buddy Jake to jump....
Game time....
Sweet boys :).... (I like how Eli gets progressively annoyed with each photo I take--HA!)
They sure worked up an appetite from all that jumping!
This one of Jake cracks me up.... Hehe
Eli had quite a few birthday parties to go to over the summer...but his buddy Aiden's 3rd birthday was at a different jumpy place, so he thought it was "so cool." I think this party was super fun because all of the kiddos have been in school with Eli since they were babies. :)
Jump time....
Eli and his pals....
Tired & hungry (my Eli plays hard--LOL)....

Our last summer "hurrah" was a family trip to Sea World. It was a blast!
Of course as soon as we arrived Charlie had to check our little guy's height. He was ready to have some father/son quaity time on some rides. :)
We watched shows....
I love this pic of Eli! So bummed I cut my face off when taking the pic....
Eli played in the Splash Area....
Went on rides....
*Pretty sure the Kiddie Coaster with Daddy was his favorite*
And saw all kinds of cool animals!
It was such a fun family day! I had the best time :)....
Pretty sure Eli had fun too! This photo says it all--LOL....
Oh and if you ask Eli what his favorite part of our weekend was, he will tell you "The wittle swimming pool!" He is referring to the big tub in our hotel room. Long story, it was the only room left and happened to have a Jacuzzi tub. Eli thought it was his own personal pool. TOO FUNNY!
So much fun and so many memories with my little guy and big guy! :)

After we returned from Sea World, the following weekend Charlie and I had a Date Weekend. Eli got to spend the weekend with Grammy and Paw Paw while Charlie and I had a nice weekend together.
Ready for a night out....

I had such a wonderful weekend with my love! Thank you Grammy and Paw Paw for watching our Eli. :)

Some interesting things I have learned about Eli over the summer:
1. If you allow him to make choices on what to wear to school, he may end up in a cowboy hat, Sherrif's badge and trusty blankie....

2. If you don't bother him about the potty, he will go all by himself (and I am proud to say that by end of summer we were fully trained! WOOOO HOOO!)....
3. He thinks his chair is "only for kids who wike Cars"....
4. He thinks Mommy's glasses are soooo funny (which I am pretty sure my prescription would make anyone giggle).....

5. "Spiderman helps pick noses"....

6. Eli finds change around the house to put in his Piggy Bank. Pretty sure the kid has more money than I do....

7. He is also known as "Super Eli"....

8. No matter how big he gets, these loving looks will always keep him as my baby....

9. He cannot wait for Soccer to start! :)

10. He loves hanging out in his tent on rainy days....
11. If you give him 5 minutes alone with his tent, look at all of the toys he can get inside of it....
12. This is the first day of school for Eli (so the last official day of our Summer Break together) and he is so excited about school and Mommy is missing him already....

I loved every minute with my Eli this summer! It went by way too fast! I am already looking forward to our next break together. :)
