Dear Eli,
Mommy has a simple request for you: Please continue to be Mommy's baby boy. You are now 2 and are becoming quite independent, so if you could slow down just a little bit....that would be perfect. ;)
Happy Birthday my sweet TWO YEAR OLD!!
I love you so very much!
Love,
Mommy xoxo

This year I had debated awhile about Eli's 2nd Birthday Party....I knew I wanted to invite his friends (and of course wanted to make it super special) but I wasn't sure if I should have it at the house or somewhere else.
I decided to have Eli's party at The Little Gym in Friendswood. I bought Eli to check the place out and watched a bit of a class being held and it looked like a lot of fun! :)
I am glad I made the decision when I did (2 months + prior to his birthday) because his actual birthdate was already booked! So we set his birthday party for October 8th.
Eli LOVES Elmo, so I decided to do an Elmo themed birthday party. :)
The invitations....
Eli's day was super special!! We had the best time. :)
Mommy and Daddy (and Lulu too!) ready for Eli's party...
I went a tad overboard on the decorations (considering we had very little time before guests arrived to get it all up) but it was worth it. The Little Gym looked soooo cute with all of Eli's decorations set up!
We also had lots of yummy food :)
Eli had never been to The Little Gym before, so I wasn't sure how it would go and just hoped he had a good time. He had a blast!!! He was in his element--running around and jumping--it was soooo cute to watch him and his little friends!! :)
Eli showing his moves....
He was a little pro on the balance beam!
Sweet Iris....
Just so y'all know....this is how most of the pictures of the boys looked... BLURRY because they were movin' and a shakin'! HAHA
(Left to Right: Eli, Jordan and Aidan)
Cutiepie Cora...
Jordan was also impressive on all of the equipment...
This pic cracks me up! :) (Jordan, Eli, Sara and Iris)
Lil' besties...
Mommies watched their little ones closely. All of the kiddos had a great time!
Christen and Cora...
Parachute time!
Silly boy...
The little ones were never bored and managed to keep themselves entertained during gym play time. :)
Love little Mason...
After an hour of playtime, it was time to sing "Happy Birthday" and have cake. At first I was a little bummed the kiddos didn't have more time to play, but once I saw how tired and hungry they were when it was cake time-- I realized the time frame was just perfect. :)
Happy 2nd Birthday Eli!! We love you soooo very much!!!
When it was time to open presents, Eli was very into it (at first)....
Then he decided he would rather play with his lil buddy Aidan...LOL
Before everyone left I wanted to get pics of everyone. It was hilarious looking at all the Mommy and babies photos because all the little ones are each doing their own thing in the pics. Haha.
One of my best friends, Alexis, drove all the way (in the rain) from Houston to be at Eli's party for an hour. I am sooo glad she was able to make it!
Love you, Lex...
All Mommies TAKE 1...
All Mommies TAKE 2...

Eli made sure all of his friends got a favor before they left... :)
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO WAS ABLE TO COME CELEBRATE ELI'S SPECIAL DAY!! HE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME!! xoxoxoxoxoxo

The following weekend, October 15th, was Eli's actual birthday :)! Mommy and Daddy were sure to have some fun celebrations up their sleeves.
Eli woke up that morning and helped Mommy make his favorite breakfast.... BLUEBERRY PANCAKES :)
And by the look of things, I believe Chef Eli did a good job ;)...
Charlie and I gave Eli one of his birthday presents that morning...A TEXANS jersey...
Because that afternoon we took him to meet a couple of the TEXANS Cheerleaders :). I LOVE the look on his face in this pic...haha....
We then spent a fun afternoon at the park. It was a gorgeous day outside!!
After a fun afternoon, we went back to the house, got all cleaned up and were ready to celebrate!! :)
This was my first attempt at a character cake (Elmo, of course). I had an issue with the cake falling out of the pan and breaking into a bunch of pieces....so I basically had to piece it back together and free-hand the frosting. That having been said, be kind... HAHA
After cake, Eli was ready to open his presents!
Eli's first baseball glove from Charlie. Proud Daddy :)...
I had this stool painted for Eli to use when he brushes his teeth. The lady who painted it (Ellie Peters) always does such a great job!!
I think my Eli likes his new step stool :)

The next day we took Eli to the Pumpkin Patch to pick out a pumpkin. I would love to say it was a wonderful experience and such, BUT that was hardly the case... the mosquitoes were HORRIBLE. We were completely covered from head to toe and it wasn't exactly enjoyable.
But Eli had a great time, so that is all that matters. :) He would run around and point to the pumpkins and say "Hi punkin!" It was tooo cute!!
And I did get some adorable pics...
We sure did have a wonderful time celebrating our little "pumpkin" turning two!! We love you Eli!! xoxo

I can't believe our precious Eli is now TWO YEARS OLD!
Here is Eli's 2 YEAR COMPARISON PHOTO:
Here are some of the things our sweet Eli is doing at TWO YEARS OLD:
*Eli now tells me when he has an "ouchie" or when something hurts.
*He likes to wash his hands and washes himself during bathtime (He will completely rub soap all over his face if you don't stop him though--haha).
*He LOVES to color and play with Play-Doh.
*Eli will now say "Help E-yi peas!" when he is unable to do something. :)
*He worries about Lulu and will check up on her and ask "Wuwu okay?" It's soooo sweet!
*He is now able to sit through an hour long movie (IF he is interested in it).
*Eli loves the movie "Cars." He gets soooo excited anytime he sees any type of "Cars" movie memoribilia. :)
*He is still very scheduled--even on weekends Momma isn't getting to sleep in--LOL :)
*Either yogurt or applesauce are included on his plate with dinner every night--they are his favorites.
*Eli now wants to pick out his own clothes...which he has been doing for awhile....the problem is, he is now able to take off what he doesn't want to wear--Sheesh!
*Eli can identify all of his family members, friends in his class at school, main body parts, shapes and colors. He continues to amaze me with new things each day. :)
*Red is Eli's favorite color. If it were up to him, he would wear red from head to toe.
Sure do love that Eli of mine. :)
