Family and Festivities

I have always loved the holidays. :) I have so many wonderful childhood memories--from decorating sugar cookies with Mom, to listening to Christmas music and decorating the tree (Dad always managed to get the best tree). Now I get to experience all of these things with my Eli and it just fills my heart.

Spending the holidays with this guy.....

Pretty amazing gig :)

On Saturday, December 1st, we went to League City's Holiday in the Park. We had such a wonderful time!

Here we are ready to head to the Christmas Parade...

We had a lot of fun! Eli really enjoyed the parade. :)

We didn't find out until that Monday, but Eli's school won FIRST PLACE for their amazing float! How awesome is that?

Eli also experienced his first visit from an ELF this year! He came all the way from the North Pole to keep an eye on Eli. Eli wasn't too sure about him.... in fact, he got a tad annoyed when I reminded him "Cow-Elf" (Yes, that was the given name by Eli--haha) was watching.

First we read the book, "The Elf on the Shelf" (Thank you sooooo much Aunt Gerry!).....

Eli woke up to a letter from "Cow-Elf" the next morning....

Eli always looked forward to searching for Cow-Elf each morning and was always excited to see what he had been up to....

That next weekend, we had a wonderful family weekend.

We decorated the house....

And our beautiful tree....

Baked cookies....

Decorated a Gingerbread House....

Which SOMEONE ate all the frosting off of....Hehe ;)

After all of this fun, something was bound not to be so great, right? That week at school, I got Eli's photos with Santa back (they had taken these at school, so I had NO idea what Santa looked like).

SERIOUSLY!?!?

Well, at least we can look back and laugh at the photo of Eli and Captain Eyebrows. LOL!

The following weekend my friend Heather hosted a super fun shopping night. It was sooooo much fun to visit with friends and shop!

My other friend (also named Heather) went with me. We thought these wine glasses might be a necessity purchase... Hehe ;)

A lovely time with lovely ladies!

On December 20th, Eli had a Christmas Party at school. He was soooo excited to put on his Santa hat to wear to school!

He was also excited to bring his teachers gifts....

And the reindeer juice boxes we made for his friends....

That evening, I attended a fun holiday gathering with co-workers. I am truly blessed to work with such wonderful people.

I got all dolled up to go....

We had soooo much fun at the party!

And check out what I scored from the White Elephant Gift Exchange.....

BAHAHAHAHHAAH!!! I LOVE HIM!!!!

Oh and in case you were wondering what Charlie and Eli were up to while I was gone, pretty sure it was just another boys night (hehe)....

Christmas Eve was double special for us this year! We had a super special birthday to celebrate that day: Eli's friend Eve turned 3!

Eve was so sweet to have Eli come celebrate her birthday at Chuck-E-Cheese. :)

The two of them had the best time!

Of course I wanted one last pic of the two of them before we left. I love how difficult it is to get two 3 year olds to give you their attention for a minute and smile at the same time.... LOL!

First try....

Second try....

Third try....

Fourth try....

Got one!

LOVE! :)

After the party, I picked Lulu up from the Puppy Parlor.

Doesn't she look perdy? :)

That evening we did our traditional Christmas Eve pizza and went and looked at Christmas lights.

Pajamas on and we are ready to go....

The houses all looked so beautiful lit up and music playing (although pictures never do them justice)....

I just love every minute with my big guy and little guy (and Lulu too!)...

The next morning Eli woke up to find that Santa came!

It was a special, special morning....

After a nice, relaxing morning of opening presents and playing, we headed out to Cypress to celebrate with my family.

It was a perfect Christmas.

Full of love....

And laughter....

And food....

The day after Christmas, we headed to The Woodlands to celebrate with Charlie's family. It was another wonderful gathering.

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Wishing you and yours a joyous and blessed 2013!

Love and Hugs,
Courtney, Charlie, Eli and Lulu
