EGGcellent Happenings :)

Dear Eli,
I can't believe you are already 18 months old! You are so fun to watch! You have been quite the little helper lately. I decided to write you a letter to tell you how much I appreciate all of your help recently. :) Thank you for picking up all of your toys in the Living Room! Mommy sure was nervous when you first dumped your entire toy bin and flipped it over so you could dance on it. Also, I know you thought your chalk was dirty and that is why you threw all of your chalk in the pool, so I appreciate all of your help picking chalk pieces out of the pool today. I also LOVE fudge striped cookies, how did you know? So thank you for putting them in the shopping cart when Mommy was getting goldfish crackers and not paying attention. ;)

I love you very much! I can't imagine doing all of my daily tasks without your help and wouldn't have it any other way. :)

Love,
Mommy

Mommy loves you...

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!! I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed holiday. We had a lovely Easter and thoroughly enjoyed our time with sweet Eli and having family over to spend the holiday.

The week before Easter, Anne and I took our little ones to see the Easter Bunny at the mall.

I love watching Eli and Sara together...

Eli actually did really well with the Easter Bunny! When he first saw him he said, "Whoaaa! Yeah!!!" He got really quiet when he sat on his lap, but he didn't cry.

The Thursday before Good Friday, Eli had his Easter Party and Easter Egg Hunt at school. :) I soooo badly wanted to go! Sadly, with the TAKS Test nearing, I just couldn't miss work. His teachers were kind enough to take pictures for me so I could feel like I was there. :)

Easter morning Eli was soooo excited to look through his basket!

The Easter Bunny visited...

One thing I couldn't wait to do was an Easter Egg Hunt with Eli. Well, that didn't exactly work out because he saw the eggs before they were hidden. So Eli wanted to carry them around. He would hide them and he would find them. HAHA. He kept himself pretty busy with these eggs!

Wagon time...

We had a full house that day!

Mom and Dad came to visit...

Charlie's Mom and Bob came...

David and Ally were here...

We were so glad everyone made it!

Mom and Ally bought me these lovely flowers!! Thank y'all so much!! :)

I had the table all set up with snacks...

I LOVED these egg shaped dishes I found--aren't they cute?

Eli had such a fun day!

He spent the afternoon playing in his pool Daddy set up for him...

He also had fun playing with his chalk the Easter Bunny left him...

What a perfect day!! :)

So sweet Eli is now 18 MONTHS OLD!!!! He is busier than ever and I can't even blink without my sweet boy getting into something--heehee. :)

Look how our baby boy has grown!

18 MONTHS! Can you believe it? Eli has started doing all kinds of new and fun things since I blogged last.

One thing that makes me laugh out loud is his recent phone addiction. He constantly has something held to his ear and "talks" like he is on the phone.

Where could he possibly have learned this from? ;)

I think my favorite thing to watch Eli do is dance! Charlie and I laugh and laugh. He dances to the TV, me singing, grocery store music, to the radio....I think he surely has a future on one of those dance reality shows. ;)

Here is a video of Eli showing his moves...

Eli loves to play his instruments....

He also loves to play chase! He loves to chase Lulu around the house...

Eli still LOVES his books the most! He spends a lot of time reading and looking at the pictures. :) Every night before we go to bed, he runs to his book basket to pick out a book to read. His 3 favorites are "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See," "I Love You Through and Through," and "Goodnight Sesame." He chooses at least one of these each night and will say "gen!" because he wants me to read it again. :)

Eli and his books...

Eli really likes to work on puzzles now! He also loves to build blocks...

He is a typical boy and loves his trucks!

Here he is driving his truck along Nana's couch...

Here are some of the things Eli is doing at 18 MONTHS OLD:

*Eli likes to brush his teeth and hair
*He now drinks really well using a straw
*Eli says A LOT of words: blue, purple, dog, car, truck, Pluto, Mickey, feet, ball, cup, toy, binky, sleep, teeth, door, outside, school, Daisy (his teacher is Ms, Daisy), egg, eat...to name some
*He also uses quite a few prases: "Let's go!" is his favorite--haha.
*Eli can identify his eyes, ears, nose, feet, bellybutton, the letter "B," and the colors green, purple and blue.
*He can count to three :)
*Eli LOVES to pick up and clean (YAY! Maybe he will get that from his Mommy--hehe)
*Eli eats really well. His favorite thing to eat: Raisins. He will get VERY upset if we pass them in the grocery store.
*He still sleeps soundly 11 hours each night and takes a solid 2 hour nap during the day. :)
*Eli lets us know when he is ready for bed. He will go to his room, get his blanky and binky and will say "Let's go!" It's soooo cute! :) It is the perfect end to each day. Love that little guy. :)
