Summer Lovin' =)

Here I am on Summer Break and I am kind of enjoying it... A LOT. Why?

I will give you one hint.....

ELI!!!!!

I am absolutely, positively, over the moon right now!!! I just LOVE getting to spend the entire summer with Eli. =)

Eli has quite the little personality....He will do anything to get a reaction and thinks EVERYTHING is funny.

Of course, most of the things he does cracks me up.

For example, I found him sitting on the couch the other day like this...

Or he will decide to get a plastic bowl out of the cabinet and where it around the house on his head....

At times I will catch him sitting so sweetly...

But then he will decide a stunt move is necessary because he thinks it's hilarious...

On June 9th, Charlie and I celebrated our 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!! I am so blessed to have Charlie as my husband. Just when I thought I couldn't possibly love him any more than the day we exchanged our vows and said "I do," I watch him with Eli and I fall in love with him more and more each day.

Happy Anniversary Charlie!! I LOVE YOU HONEYBEE!!! xoxo

Okay, so there is a country song by Blake Shelton called "Honeybee." I LOVE this song!!! I think it's soooo cute!!! Charlie however, finds this song to be obnoxious (probably because it gets stuck in his head--HAHA), so what better theme to celebrate an anniversary than a HONEYBEE??

I decorated the house in yellow and black...

and made this little banner :)

Charlie's gift (yellow & black of course!)...

I happened to find this bath mitt at the store, so I HAD to get it....

I also found an apron with a honeybee on it for Eli--PERFECT!!! :)

My baby bee pulling down the streamers....haha

The decorations were up, "Honeybee" was playing, Charlie walks in the door and Eli goes running across the Living Room to him in his apron yelling, "Beeeeeeeeeeee!" It was too funny!!!

Charlie loved it :)

The following weekend Charlie and I went out to celebrate our anniversary. We decided to have a night away in Houston. Nana and Super Pop Pop watched Eli for us (Thank you guys! xoxo).

Ready for our special evening...

We had a scruptious dinner at Truluck's....

Father's Day was the Sunday after our anniversary. :) I was so happy to spend Father's Day with all 3 of my favorite guys: my Daddy, my Charlie and my Eli. =)

Super Pop Pop and Nana with Eli...

We had such a nice afternoon at Nana and Super Pop Pop's!!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY to my Daddy, Thom!!! I love you very much!!!!

After a fun day at my parents, we headed home to League City.

Daddy and Eli (sitting in Daddy's Father's Day Gift)....

Eli sure did like his Daddy's chair...haha

Eli also made this for Daddy at school...

I also picked up some cupcakes from Crave for Father's Day...yummmm....

Happy Father's Day to my Charlie!! Thank you for working so hard for us and being such an amazing Daddy to Eli. We love you very much!! xoxo

Charlie was looking for things to take Eli to do in the area and came across The Sea Center in Lake Jackson. Eli really liked looking at the fish and touching the hermit crabs! It was a really fun family outing. :)

I also made a new Strawberry Shortcake recipe that day when we got home. It didn't come out visually perfect, but it tasted good! :)

Eli and I have kept ourselves pretty busy during the week. :)

Eli goes with me to the YMCA each day while I workout. He gets to play in the Childwatch with the other Toddler age kids. He LOVES it! After my workout, I pick him up and we go play in the pool. :)

Some days, when it isn't TOO hot, we go and play at the park.

Other days Eli and I will try something new. He really likes to go to "Max's Fun Jump" near the house. It has all kinds of jumpy things to bounce on. Eli has NO FEAR (which scares Mommy to death!) and he now climbs the tallest one without even blinking!

We also have a Season Pass to Palm Beach at Moody Gardens, so we meet up with Anne and Sara there during the week.

Eli LOVES the Splash Pad!! I love the look on his face...

Sweet boy...

Eli and Sara having fun :)...

Anne and I decided to take our sweet little ones to the Rainforest Cafe one day for lunch. I had never been and was excited to go. :)

The inside of the restaurant is VERY dark. Every so many minutes, the lights will flicker and one of the animals (gorilla, lion) in the restaurant will "come to life." Well Eli is ALL BOY and thought this was the coolest thing ever--pointing to the animals and yelling. Haha.

Eli pointing to the gorilla...

Poor Sara didn't like it as much. Sweet girl sat with her fingers in her ears almost the entire time...

Before we left, I tried to take Eli's picture with the gorilla in front of the restaurant, but someone was ready for a nap :)...

On June 20th, my baby boy got his first haircut :/ It was a very bittersweet moment for Mommy. As excited as I was for my Eli to get his first haircut, I felt like he was officially growing up.

The lady did such a great job cutting Eli's hair!! She was very calm and sweet with him. He seemed okay at first, but about halfway through the haircut he decided he did NOT want his haircut. Haha.

After Eli's haircut he received his very first lollipop and that seemed to make it all better. :)

The next day Eli and I were invited over to Nancy's house for a get together. It was a lot of fun!! Anne and Sara were there and we all chatted and watched the little ones play. :)

We then took Eli and Sara to the neighborhood park. It is really nice and shaded!!

Eli on the swing....

*************************************************************************************

That Friday we headed North to visit Grammy and Paw Paw. Grammy had toys from when Charlie and Alison were little for Eli to play with. :) He had so much fun!!

Eli and Grammy...

There is a really pretty pond near Grammy's house where there are birds and turtles. Eli really liked watching the turtles. :)

Thank you for having us!! We had such a nice visit!! :)
*************************************************************************************

The next night I had a Girl's Night Out while Nana and Super Pop Pop babysat. Girlfriend time is always sooooo much fun!! We just laugh and laugh. :)

We also went to see (DRUMROLL PLEASE)....The New Kids on the Block!!

I was a HUGE fan when I was about 10 years old. They decided to do a tour a couple of years ago and it ended up being so big, they did another tour.

On June 28th was my Charlie's birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FAVORITE HUSBAND!!! I love you!!!

Some cupcakes I made for the birthday boy :)

I also made a cake. I am trying my hand at cake decorating. It's a lot of fun!! I am going to post pics of some of my creations on my next blog. :)

Our sweet Eli is now 21 MONTHS OLD!! Goodness me time flies!! Eli is the sweetest boy and is just so much fun!! I truly am enjoying every minute of my summer with him.

Eli really likes to build things and do puzzles.

He also really likes to play with his ABC magnets and say the letters while he sticks them on the refrigerator...

Eli is becoming more and more independent by the day. He gets frustrated when Mommy goes to help him and he wants to do it by himself. haha.

He can now drink out of a regular cup. He does pretty well! I did find it funny when I walked into the kitchen the other day and caught him drinking out of my enormous Bucees mug--HAHAHAHA. I had it on the counter, how in the world he was able to get it down, I have no idea...

Eli is growing, growing!! he is now wearing 2T size clothes. He can still wear 24 month, but they are too short. He is VERY tall like his Daddy. :)

Here are Eli's Monthly Comparison Shots...

18 MONTHS:

19 MONTHS:

20 MONTHS:

21 MONTHS:

Here are some things sweet Eli is doing at 21 MONTHS OLD:

*Eli can tell you the noises certain animals make (cows say "moo", kitty cats say "meow")
*Eli can now open the refrigerator and pantry (this is NOT a good thing--haha)
*He knows his numbers 1-5. If you say "1" he knows "2" and "3" come next.
*He wants to get dressed all by himself and gets frustrated Mommy wants to help him
*Eli knows his routine well. At bedtime he will run to the bathroom and get his toothbrush to brush his teeth and then to his bedroom to pick out a book to read. :)
*Eli now picks out 10 books and we have to narrow down to 2 before we go to bed--haha.
*He can drink out of a regualar cup.
*Eli can eat with a fork.
*He is still sleeping 11 hours a night and naps once a day for about 2 hours.
*His favorite foods are grapes, turkey lunchmeat, fruit snacks, RAISINS, yogurt and cheese.
*He loves to do puzzles and color (which we are working on coloring on the paper and not the floor--haha)
*Eli now gives kissies before bed each night and he has to get three of them--not one, not two, but THREE. Melts my heart every time. :)
