Sadly, there have been a couple of changes for the upcoming school year and two of our family members will be moving to other grade levels. We will greatly miss you Liz and Judith!!
The Second Grade Team...(Nancy, Liz, me, Judith, Jan, Stephany and Anne)

On the last day of school, I received one of the most clever gifts from one of my students! He made me a poster using different kinds of candy and chocolates.

After a crazy past few weeks with school coming to an end, I can finally say I get to spend the next couple of months home with my little man!
I am soooo excited to spend my summer with Eli! I just LOVE this little face...

On May 15th, Eli turned 7 MONTHS OLD!!! He is so much fun right now!! He just babbles and blabbles....he seems to have a lot to say (wonder where he gets that from?). He also is getting into EVERYTHING! I had to clear my coffee table because when he is in his walker, he will grab anything within reach--coasters, TV remotes, etc.
He is such a happy baby! He laughs and laughs when something strikes him funny. He still finds Lulu to be the most entertaining "toy" ever.
Smiley boy! (sporting his Texas A&M wear)....

He LOVES to play and is moving around a lot! He isn't fully crawling yet, but he will roll and kind of scoot to get to where he wants to be. :)

Eli also has a new favorite sleeping position. I find him like this every morning in his crib (so cute!)...

A few weeks ago, Eli went swimming in a pool for the first time! We went over to my friend Nancy's house and got to go swimming. Anne and sweet baby Sara were also there. I just love watching these two babies together!

That evening Eli and I headed out to Galveston to Anne's house for a barbecue and get together. We had so much fun!

One goal I accomplished over the past month is something I have been working hard towards...I ran in my first 5K marathon! I started running back in January and it has become quite addicting. It is "me time" and I love the way it makes me feel. My best friend, Courtney and I decided to run in the "Astros Race for the Pennant." We did awesome!!

We had some nice visits with family over the past couple of weeks. We were able to visit with my family one evening for a Crawfish Boil. It was such a great visit and we had a lot of fun! :)
Thank you Daddy for the yummy crawfish! We sure did enjoy them!!

As I mentioned earlier, Eli is into EVERYTHING. When we were at the Crawfish Boil, I took some great photos of Charlie holding Eli.

I love watching Eli and his Daddy. This is my favorite picture of the two of them...

Eli and I went to visit Grammy and Paw Paw a couple of weeks ago. We went to church with Grammy. Eli was so good during the service! We only had to excuse ourselves when it was time for his bottle. It was a lovely service and we had such a nice visit.
Grammy's friend, Jan, made Eli a beautiful quilt! It has the "Sock Monkey" character on it and it is absolutely adorable!

Our precious little guy is doing something new each and every day. I cannot believe all of the new things he is doing just over the past two weeks! Once Eli hit six months, he will now only go to the doctor every three months. I will be curious to see how long he is and how much he weighs at his nine month visit!

One of our biggest sources of entertainment over the past few weeks has been playing with Eli in his baby pool! He just LOVES being in his little pool! He plays and plays and I honestly think he would sit in it all day if you let him. :)
Playing in his super cool alligator pool...

Eli started making a new facial expression recently. I call it his "stinky cheese face." He scrunches up his nose, quints his eyes and gives a big, cheesy smile. It cracks me up everytime!
Love my little "stinky cheese face"...

My friend Courtney went with her family to Disneyland this past month. :) She was so sweet to think of Eli and bought him back his very first pair of MICKEY MOUSE EARS!!!

Some 7 month photos of Eli...

Here are some of the things Eli is doing at 7 MONTHS OLD:
*Eli is still eating very scheduled. He eats his 3 meals a day with a bottle and two 6 ounce bottles during the day. His new favorite baby foods are Bananas with Mangoes and Chicken with Apples. :)
*Eli now sits in a highchair when we go out to eat. He loves to watch what is going on around him.
*He has discovered his voice. If we go somewhere and he realizes his voice will echo, he will squeal and babble just to hear the echo. :)
*Eli now rolls and scoots all over the place!
*He has figured out how to move his walker all over the place. He is even able to move it quicky on carpet!
*He likes to take steps when you hold his hands.
*He is wearing 9 month and 12 month size clothing.
*He now LOVES stuffed animals! His Uncle Chris gave him an alligator (his company mascot) and it is Eli's favorite. :)
*He likes to touch faces now. He really likes to grab noses and thinks it is hysterical! :)
*Eli loves Gerber Puffs and White Grape Juice for his snack.
*Eli will grab anything within reaching distance--cell phone, remote, napkin... whatever he can get his hands on. haha
*He knows when Lulu runs to the window and barks in the evening that Daddy is home. He will stop what he is doing and stare at the door smiling, waiting to see his Daddy. It just melts my heart. :)
