It is so much fun to watch Eli play...how he has certain favorite toys and which ones he laughs hysterically at.
He has figured out the mini music player on his exersaucer and he will play it so it repeats over and over and over. haha.
Eli also loves his walker!! I caught him right next to the television pulling some DVD's off the shelf the other day. He had one of the DVD's and was smacking the box on his walker tray laughing....of course I laughed too. :)
Here are a couple of videos of Eli playing in his walker...
We are still waiting for Eli to start crawling! He is getting closer each day! He now will "scoot" and sticks his little booty up in the air, but doesn't move much just yet. At first, he wasn't making contact with his hands or feet on the ground....almost like he was trying to swim! It was so cute I just had to video this a couple weeks ago....

It has been such a fun past few weeks!
Earlier this month I was inducted as "Historian" for Alpha Delta Kappa teacher sorority. As you all know, I LOVE to take pictures and scrapbook, so I am very excited about this position!
It was also my very first Mother's Day! It is the most amazing job in the world to be Eli's mother. I thank God everyday for bringing me such a perfect little angel. He fills my heart. Words cannot describe....I just feel so loved and special. Charlie made sure to make my first Mother's Day memorable and I just love him so very much!!
Eli in his "I HEART MOMMY" onsie on Mother's Day...
I always love making artsy/crafty things with my students for the holidays and such. Since I was on Maternity Leave in December, we didn't get to make these decopage tiles for Christmas gifts for their parents. I decided they would make the perfect Mother's Day gift! I took the students pictures and edited them so they were black and white. The children used Mod Podge to cover a tile with scrapbooking paper and then we covered the photos with Mod Podge over the paper. They came out so adorable!
Here are just a few of them...
The Second Grade went on a Field Trip to a Wildlife Park. It was a lot of fun! My students had such a great time!
On the way there...
A very big bird...
The kiddos holding their feed buckets for the animals to walk up...
Some of the animals we saw...
This mean looking Ostrich freaked me out! haha
One of my kiddos got so attached to this little calf...
They also got to go on pony rides...
After a long, fun filled day in the heat, I was positive it would be a nice, quiet bus ride back to the school. Oh was I wrong...haha. They sang this Justin Bieber (he is the new "it" pop star) song over and over the entire way back...
We are now coming to an end of the school year. I hope my students take with them not only what I have taught them academically, but that they can do anything if they put their mind to it.
An end of year poem for my kiddos...
Great Expectations
It's time to say, "Good-bye."
Our year has come to an end.
I've made more cherished memories
And many more new friends.
I've watched your children learn and grow
And change from day to day.
I hope that all the things we've done
Have helped in some small way.
So it's with happy memories
I send them out the door,
With great hope and expectations
For what next year holds in store.
